Labial Volumization
With age, weight change, childbirth and hormonal shifts, the labia majora can lose volume. The result for many women is a deflated or wrinkled appearance, dryness, and discomfort with clothing, exercise or intimacy. Labial volumization restores that fullness with hyaluronic acid dermal filler, the same family of products used for cheeks and lips, placed by a physician in a private, unhurried visit.
What the treatment does
A small amount of hyaluronic acid filler is placed beneath the skin of the labia majora to restore natural volume and smoothness. Hyaluronic acid is a substance your body already produces, so the result feels soft and natural, and it can be adjusted or dissolved if needed. The treatment is entirely non-surgical: no incisions, no general anesthesia, no surgical recovery.
- Restores fullness and a smoother contour to the labia majora
- Improves comfort with clothing, exercise and intimacy
- Can reduce the appearance of the labia minora by restoring surrounding volume
- About 30 minutes, with results visible immediately and settling over two weeks
- Results typically last 12 to 18 months
What to expect
Before. A private consultation with Dr. Darvish to discuss your concerns, confirm you're a good candidate, and agree on a plan and total cost before anything is scheduled. The consultation is complimentary.
During. Topical numbing cream is applied, and the filler itself contains lidocaine. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. The injections take about 15 minutes.
After. Mild swelling and tenderness for a few days is normal. Avoid intercourse, strenuous exercise, hot baths and saunas for about a week. Most patients return to work the same day.
Why a physician matters here
This is a delicate area with its own anatomy. Dr. Darvish, a fourth-generation physician with certifications in laser medicine and cosmetic surgery, performs every labial volumization treatment himself. If you're considering surgical options, or if filler isn't the right answer for your goals, he will tell you plainly and point you in the right direction.
A comprehensive approach
Labial volumization is often paired with other treatments at Skinpeccable, including laser hair removal and non-surgical skin tightening. Your consultation covers the whole picture so you get one coordinated plan rather than a list of procedures.
Consultations for this treatment are always private. You're welcome to book under a general consultation and raise it with Dr. Darvish in person.
Frequently asked questions
What is labial volumization?
A non-surgical treatment that uses hyaluronic acid dermal filler to restore volume to the labia majora, the outer lips of the vulva, which can lose fullness with age, weight change, childbirth or hormonal shifts.
Does it hurt?
Topical numbing is applied first and the filler itself contains lidocaine. Most patients describe pressure rather than pain. The treatment takes about 30 minutes.
Is there downtime?
Minimal. Expect some swelling and tenderness for a few days. Most patients return to normal activity the same day and avoid intercourse, exercise and hot baths for about a week.
How long do results last?
Typically 12 to 18 months, depending on the product used and how your body metabolizes it. Results can be maintained with a touch-up.
Who performs the treatment?
Dr. Raphael Darvish performs every labial volumization treatment personally, in a private treatment room at either office.
Is it the same as labiaplasty?
No. Labiaplasty is surgery that removes or reshapes tissue. Labial volumization adds volume with filler, with no incisions, no anesthesia and no surgical recovery. If surgery is the better option for your goals, Dr. Darvish will say so.
